DJ/selector/producer Yuki Kawamura has released her new song “I Luv Yu” (OIRAN MUSIC) on all subscription services on March 27th.
Kawamura is known for her appearances at festivals such as “Ringomusic Festival” and “Love Parade Mexico”, her selection of music for the Shibuya Ward Office building, her music contribution to the open-world RPG “Cyberpunk 2077”, and her management of the warm-up bar “Shibuya Oiran”.
After a hiatus of about 20 years, Kawamura resumed her music production activities under her own name during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her previous work, “R.I.P. Sunset”, was dedicated to her mentor and Ibiza legend, the late Jose Padilla, who was a Balearic style DJ.
Since then, she has steadily expanded her activities as an artist, releasing remix versions of her songs by up-and-coming creators such as Amps of TREKKIE TRAX, KH & The LASTTRAK, and House Violence, and participating as a remixer in Square Enix’s popular title “NieR Re[in]carnation Chillout Arrangement Tracks”.
This new song is a chillout track themed on “eternal love and affection”, and is a perfect love song for the beginning of spring 2024. It follows the ambient track “Dawn”, which was released in February and received a good response, and is the first single from her first album scheduled for release within the year.
The mixing and mastering was done by YUNG DUMB (Canada) and House Violence, a creator who has released multiple works on Plastik People (USA) and House Cookin’ Records (Belgium).
The artwork was created by artist Mako Principal a.k.a. Watanabe Mako, using a snapshot photo from Kawamura’s own wedding party held in Okinawa last spring.
